Medical Assistant

Job overview

The Medical Assistant role is onsite in Franklin, IN, with a Monday–Friday schedule from 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM and an unpaid lunch from noon to 1:00 PM. Pay is $22–$24 per hour. The role provides front-office and clinical support in a healthcare setting. The Medical Assistant helps clinics operate efficiently and supports quality patient care by assisting with registration, scheduling, rooming, clinical procedures, documentation, and patient communication. The role works with healthcare professionals to support patient flow and a positive patient experience.

What you'll do

• Greet patients and assist with registration and check-in
• schedule appointments and manage calls
• maintain patient records in the EMR
• prepare rooms and room patients
• measure and record vital signs
• perform venipuncture and blood collection
• administer vaccines under established protocols and applicable authorization
• perform EKGs and point-of-care testing as required
• assist providers with procedures
• maintain clean, stocked rooms
• follow infection prevention and safety protocols
• document clinical information and handle specimens appropriately
• support patient education and outreach as appropriate.
