Mental Health Technician — Per Diem

The Mental Health Technician works onsite at Adams Clinical’s inpatient research facility in Dallas, TX. Pay is $20–$24 per hour. The role supports clinical trials at a research site focused on data quality, participant safety, and diverse enrollment. The technician provides direct care, supervision, and engagement to research participants while helping maintain a therapeutic environment. The role also supports protocol adherence through documentation, basic clinical tasks, specimen handling, and coordination with research and clinical staff.

What you'll do

• Provide therapeutic interaction and verbal de-escalation
• review handoffs and document shifts
• conduct and document wellness checks every 15 minutes
• supervise smoke breaks and assist with meals and hygiene routines
• support scheduled activities
• monitor and document medication administration
• maintain orderly rooms
• assist with admissions, discharges, and orientation
• complete incident reports
• collaborate on protocol compliance
• take vital signs, collect specimens, and perform phlebotomy as needed
• process and document lab samples.

Why this role
