What you'll do

• Schedule surgeries and confirm operating-room availability
• coordinate with surgeons and facilities
• obtain pre-operative clearances, labs, consent forms, and insurance authorizations
• educate patients on pre- and post-operative instructions and schedule follow-up visits
• verify insurance benefits
• update medical records and surgical logs
• communicate changes
• resolve scheduling conflicts or cancellations
• perform administrative and clerical duties as needed.
