HR & Recruiting Intern

The HR & Recruiting Intern role is onsite in Sterling, VA. Compensation is $19–$20 per hour. Heven AeroTech develops hydrogen-powered drones and describes a workplace focused on innovation, collaboration, and employee growth. The intern supports the People Operations and Recruiting teams across talent acquisition, onboarding, employee engagement, and HR administration. The role provides hands-on exposure to the employee lifecycle while helping maintain recruiting processes, records, and team initiatives.

What you'll do

• Assist with candidate sourcing, resume screening, interview scheduling, and candidate communications
• support applicant tracking systems and recruiting documentation
• prepare new-hire materials and coordinate pre-employment requirements
• maintain employee records and personnel files
• support engagement initiatives, training, and company events
• research and assist with HR projects, process improvements, and reporting
• prepare spreadsheets and presentations
• participate in team meetings
• maintain confidentiality.
