The position sits within MassMutual’s Model Risk Management team in Enterprise Risk Management, which provides enterprise model governance, oversight, validation, and monitoring. The role leads MassMutual’s enterprise model risk framework, advises senior management on model risks, and ensures models are fit for purpose, well governed, and aligned with regulatory expectations and risk appetite. It directs validation and governance practices, reports exposures and emerging risks, develops a model risk team, and partners with business and risk stakeholders to support responsible model use.

What you'll do

• Lead the enterprise model risk management program
• own and improve model risk policies, standards, validation methods, inventory expectations, and issue management
• develop and implement strategy for AI tool use in model risk management
• set risk-based validation plans and complete timely independent validations
• ensure consistency, auditability, and governance alignment
• report model risk exposures, emerging risks, and remediations to senior leadership
• build, coach, and develop model validation and model risk professionals
• partner with Enterprise Risk Management and business teams
• monitor regulatory, industry, and analytical developments and translate them into governance improvements.
