Ovation DCS Project Manager

The Ovation DCS Project Manager role has a flexible hybrid work schedule and may be based at any Hazen location, with Virginia or the Washington, D.C. area preferred. Compensation is not specified. Hazen and Sawyer focuses on water, wastewater, and stormwater environmental infrastructure. The role leads automation projects on Emerson’s Ovation distributed control system platform from planning and design through implementation, testing, commissioning, and lifecycle support. It coordinates customers, engineering teams, vendors, and internal stakeholders to deliver systems that meet technical, financial, operational, quality, and safety objectives.

What you'll do

• Plan, execute, and control Ovation DCS projects across their lifecycle
• support onsite factory acceptance testing, site acceptance testing, startup, and commissioning, with periodic travel to client facilities
• develop project plans, schedules, staffing plans, budgets, and risk registers
• manage scope, change control, and risk mitigation
• coordinate OT and cybersecurity specialists and incorporate IEC 62443-aligned requirements
• lead technical design and implementation
• mentor junior staff
• support proposals and technical reviews
• manage customer and vendor relationships, project costs, forecasting, billing, contracts, quality, and safety.
