Compensation Consultant

Job overview

The Compensation Consultant is a fully remote role with an expected four-to-six-month contract term, reporting to the Chief People Officer. The stated pay is $50–$75 per hour. AvonRisk manages specialty risk services for self-insured organizations, including workers’ compensation, liability, managed care, and risk management. The consultant designs, evaluates, and maintains compensation and job architecture programs. The role advises HR, recruiting, and business leaders with nationwide market analysis, pay structures, equity reviews, and clear recommendations to support competitive, compliant, and equitable compensation decisions.

What you'll do

• Conduct nationwide compensation analyses, market pricing, geographic differentials, and pay-range development. Design and maintain job architecture, job families, career levels, leveling criteria, titles, and job codes. Develop salary structures, pay grades, and ranges
• benchmark positions
• review internal equity and pay compression
• and advise on offers, promotions, and market adjustments. Build Excel models, dashboards, and analyses
• support annual compensation cycles and mergers, acquisitions, and organizational changes
• conduct pay equity analyses and support compliance with pay laws
• prepare leadership documentation and presentations
• and maintain compensation data in HRIS and related systems.

Why this role
