Senior Reliability Test Engineer — Environmental Simulation Lab

The Senior Reliability Test Engineer — Environmental Simulation Lab role is onsite in Santa Clara, CA, with compensation of $40–$55 per hour. The Electrical & Electronics business is transitioning to UL Solutions, combining teams and capabilities to strengthen services and support customers worldwide. The engineer develops and executes product test plans, analyzes results, and prepares reports to support accurate, compliant, and timely testing. The role also maintains environmental test equipment, resolves test and calibration issues, and improves laboratory procedures and reliability-testing operations.

What you'll do

• Support and maintain thermal chambers, vibration tables, shock testers, and humidity-control systems
• troubleshoot equipment failures, calibration issues, and test anomalies
• ensure compliance with ISO 17025, ASTM, MIL-STD-810, IEC 60068, ISTA, and other standards
• assist with root-cause analysis and corrective actions
• optimize procedures with engineers and technicians
• develop and update SOPs
• support audits and accreditation
• implement continuous improvement in reliability testing, lab efficiency, and automation
• train lab personnel
• collaborate with customers on technical inquiries, test plans, and environmental testing solutions.
