What you'll do

• Review menus and determine food quantities
• submit food orders to the Dietary Supervisor
• help maintain inventory and report shortages or discrepancies
• consult the supervisor about leftovers and storage
• consult the registered dietitian on modified diets
• supervise dietary workers preparing food
• assist with training new dietary staff
• prepare food using approved recipes and kitchen equipment
• cook and portion food according to menus and resident diet orders
• test food temperatures
• prepare and label nourishment and supplements
• follow infection prevention practices
• maintain a clean, organized kitchen.
