What you'll do

• Direct the operation of a nursing unit
• hire, discipline, and evaluate employees
• facilitate meetings about resident care
• manage care quality
• support nursing staff recruitment, retention, development, and continuing education
• contact physicians as needed
• review staffing and census and reassign personnel when necessary
• monitor clinical operations and resident conditions
• ensure needed medications, supplies, and records are available
• orient and guide staff
• and participate in the facility quality assurance program.

Why this role
