The Handyman / Facilities Maintenance Attendant role is onsite at the Fredericksburg Field House in Fredericksburg, VA, with pay of $18–$20 per hour. The role supports the safe, clean, and functional operation of the indoor sports and events facility serving athletes, families, and community events. The position exists to maintain facility assets and address repair needs so the venue remains operational. It combines inspections, preventive maintenance, minor repairs, vendor coordination, maintenance records, and event setup support.

What you'll do

• Inspect the building, equipment, and grounds
• perform preventive maintenance on HVAC, lighting, plumbing fixtures, doors, locks, flooring, and bleachers
• complete general carpentry, painting, drywall, basic electrical, and minor plumbing repairs
• coordinate contractors and verify completed work
• maintain logs, work orders, schedules, and supply inventory
• assist with event equipment setup and teardown
• support snow removal and exterior maintenance
• conduct safety inspections and respond to urgent maintenance issues.
