What you'll do

• Perform structural engineering assignments
• work on projects that may include highway bridge and retaining-wall design and repair, bridge load ratings, working-drawing reviews, and cost estimating
• analyze structures using engineering software
• prepare or check structural calculations and details, primarily for steel and concrete elements
• prepare structural drawings using Open Bridge, MicroStation, and AutoCAD
• coordinate with roadway and drainage disciplines
• collaborate with the Southeast Region Structures Team.

Why this role

Requires a bachelor’s degree in civil or structural engineering or equivalent, 5–10 years of bridge-design experience, recent steel and/or concrete bridge-design experience, a PE license, and FDOT experience.
