The Shelter Team Associate role is onsite in Roanoke, VA, with opportunities at the Men’s Shelter and Family Shelter. Compensation is $19 per hour. The Rescue Mission of Roanoke’s Emergency Shelter Team serves people in crisis seeking emergency shelter and works to provide a safe, secure, and comfortable environment. The associate guides and supports shelter guests, monitors chapel services and meals, conducts facility and grounds rounds, and completes administrative records and reports. The role contributes to guest safety and well-being by building healthy relationships and supporting shelter operations, volunteers, and interns.

What you'll do

• Guide and support shelter guests in following processes
• provide support during chapel services and meals
• conduct facility and grounds rounds, including room checks
• complete records, inspections, incident reports, medication distribution, phone calls, and supply maintenance
• assist and train volunteers or interns
• perform other duties as assigned.
