Building Information Modeling (BIM) Intern, Spring 2027

Job overview

The Building Information Modeling (BIM) Intern role is onsite at Superior’s headquarters in Columbus, OH, during the Spring 2027 term from January through April. Compensation is $25 per hour. Superior is a national leader in electrical design and construction. Working with the Building Information Modeling and Virtual Design Construction team, the intern helps develop and coordinate 3D models and drawings for electrical building systems. The role supports clash detection, installation and prefabrication drawings, and BIM standards while providing exposure to BIM tools and workflows.

What you'll do

• Help prepare Revit 3D models of electrical building systems
• prepare Navisworks models for BIM coordination
• help run clash-detection reports and resolve clashes
• participate in BIM coordination
• support installation and prefabrication drawings
• help build Revit families and prefab assemblies
• contribute to BIM standards
• learn modeling and drawing-production standards and develop skills in core applications.
