eLearning Instructional Designer

Job overview

The eLearning Instructional Designer role is hybrid in Albany, NY, with at least three onsite days per week; fully remote work is not permitted. Compensation is $45 per hour. The role supports NYPA staff by developing training requested by business units and converting existing learning-management-system courses for the new Workday LMS.

What you'll do

• Develop training materials with approved tools including Articulate, Adobe, Vyond, Camtasia, WellSaid Labs, Kahoot, and Microsoft tools
• design learning interfaces for mobile devices, desktop, and PowerPoint
• write audio scripts
• create animations, scenarios, and interactive learning
• work with content owners and subject-matter experts
• research technical topics and prepare visuals
• develop learning objectives and course interactions
• publish SCORM 1.2, xAPI, and AICC courseware and MP4 videos
• edit video
• manage timelines and deliverables
• provide status updates
• and organize course materials for future updates. Five years of online training development using Articulate products and a portfolio are required.
