The Patient Care Assistant role is onsite in Oakton, VA. Compensation is $13 per hour. The position supports Capital Area Pediatrics’ commitment to outstanding care for patients and families and offers hands-on experience alongside pediatric providers and clinical staff. The regular schedule is Monday–Thursday, 1:00 p.m.–8:30 p.m., and Friday, 1:00 p.m.–5:00 p.m.; employees may occasionally need to stay beyond scheduled hours to meet patient needs.

What you'll do

• Welcome patients and families
• escort patients to exam rooms
• obtain histories, measure vital signs, and document information in the electronic medical record
• assist with check-in, check-out, appointment scheduling, and demographic and insurance verification
• prepare, clean, and stock exam rooms and equipment
• follow infection-prevention and sterilization procedures
• protect health information under HIPAA
• and support practice operations.
