CAD Designer – Civil Engineering

The CAD Designer – Civil Engineering role is onsite in Fort Worth, TX. Compensation is not specified. The designer works alongside staff engineers on commercial and residential projects. The role produces construction drawings and provides design assistance and calculations to civil engineers. Its work supports land development planning and the preparation of grading, street, drainage, and utility plans.

What you'll do

• Read and interpret deeds, plats, sketches, as-builts, specifications, and construction drawings
• organize projects and coordinate with survey and engineering team members
• prepare schematic, design development, and final construction drawings
• use AutoCAD Civil 3D for grading, street, drainage, storm sewer, water, and sanitary sewer plans
• prepare development plans, zoning exhibits, and concept plans
• create and mark up PDF documents using Adobe/Bluebeam
• train and mentor new CAD technicians.

Why this role
