What you'll do

  • Use lived experience with mental-health and/or substance-use recovery to build rapport and hope
  • support clients’ self-identified recovery goals
  • provide peer recovery coaching, skill-building, and emotional support
  • facilitate or co-facilitate recovery groups and wellness activities
  • accompany clients to medical, housing, or benefits appointments
  • help navigate DBH, SSA, or Medicaid systems
  • conduct community outreach, including with clients disengaged from services or in crisis
  • document services according to agency and DBH requirements
  • uphold trauma-informed, culturally competent, person-centered care.
