The Stylist Apprentice / Salon Support role is onsite in Chicago, IL; compensation is $14 per hour plus tips. The role helps maintain a welcoming, functional salon and supports client service and stylist workflows. Under approval for specific services, the apprentice may assist with color work, toners, root shadows, blow-drying, and styling while developing salon skills.

What you'll do

• Support stylists and clients
• greet clients as needed and follow stylist schedules
• facilitate stationside pre-booking and ensure services and products are purchased
• maintain salon materials and color bowls
• communicate stylist needs
• assist with color mixing, color run-throughs, toners, root shadows, blow-dries, and styling upon approval
• receive inventory and handle recycling
• sweep, mop, do laundry, dust, and clean dishes or chairs after color services
• may monitor front-desk check-in and check-out.
