The role exists to provide preventive, diagnostic, and treatment services that support patient oral health. It contributes through comprehensive dental care, emergency treatment, patient education, and adherence to safety and quality plans.

What you'll do

• Examine patients, diagnose conditions, and plan treatment
• perform prophylaxis, scaling, root planing, oral hygiene instruction, endodontic and restorative care, and oral surgery
• treat dental emergencies
• prescribe medications
• remove decay, fill cavities, repair or remove teeth, place sealants or whitening agents, administer anesthetics, review dental X-rays, make models and measurements for appliances, and teach patients about dental care.
