The Carpenter, Special Projects role is an onsite, full-time position based in New Haven, VT, with work across residential project sites. Pay is $27–$36 per hour. Silver Maple’s Special Projects team handles short-duration residential repairs, renovations, warranty work, and property services. The carpenter completes varied residential carpentry work from project start through completion, coordinating with the Project Manager and working respectfully in occupied homes. The role contributes to quality project delivery through skilled repairs, troubleshooting, safe and orderly jobsites, and clear communication about site conditions and project needs.

What you'll do

• Perform carpentry on residential repairs, renovations, warranty and corrective work, and capital improvements
• handle framing, trim, doors, cabinetry, siding, and decks
• protect client property and privacy
• coordinate with the Project Manager on scope, sequencing, discoveries, and punch lists
• read blueprints
• maintain clean and safe jobsites.
