What you'll do

• Collect and label specimens according to routine and special procedures
• verify patient identification and collect samples using required volume, tube type, temperature, and timing conditions
• collect specimens for urinalysis, toxicology, and microbiological testing
• accession specimens and ensure timely transport and distribution to laboratory sections, contacting sectional personnel for transport when workload prevents delivery.
