What you'll do

• Complete administrative forms and reports
• assist the Director of Nursing and provide backup when the DON is absent
• support staff training on exposure and blood/body-fluid policies under the Infection Control nurse’s direction
• initiate infection-control measures
• educate and manage personnel on infection control
• conduct nursing-unit rounds
• lead routine Infection Control Committee meetings
• identify problems and recommend corrective action
• collect and report infection data.
