What you'll do

• Diagnose psychiatric illnesses
• prescribe and administer treatment, including psychotropic medications
• provide psychotherapy
• determine appropriate levels of care
• obtain medical histories and order, perform, and interpret diagnostic tests
• maintain timely and accurate records
• collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and referring providers
• advocate for patients and participate in insurance peer reviews
• support quality improvement, education, and supervision. Required qualifications include an MD or DO, accredited medical school and residency training, board certification in general psychiatry and/or child and adolescent psychiatry, state licensure, and current BLS/CPR certifications.
