Cloud Engineer

The Cloud Engineer role is onsite in Fort Meade, MD. Compensation is $165,000–$175,000 per year. Platinum Technologies provides platform, cybersecurity, and artificial intelligence solutions for defense and federal-sector mission partners. The engineer designs and operates secure cloud infrastructure and supports modernization, migration, and service improvement efforts. The role contributes to mission requirements by building automated, resilient cloud environments, resolving complex infrastructure issues, and aligning systems with federal and Department of Defense security requirements.

What you'll do

• Design, implement, and maintain AWS and Azure cloud infrastructure
• deploy Infrastructure as Code
• support cloud modernization and migration
• troubleshoot Tier 3 infrastructure, networking, identity, and application issues
• collaborate on cloud architecture
• implement CI/CD pipelines
• apply security and compliance requirements
• monitor performance, availability, optimization, and cost
• maintain technical documentation
• provide technical guidance and mentorship as needed.
