Direct Support Professional — Second Shift, Rotating Weekends

The Direct Support Professional role is onsite in Greenwood, SC, with compensation of $14.50 per hour. This full-time position is part of Burton Center’s Community Training Home Program, supporting its mission to develop and discover the potential of adults with disabilities and special needs. The professional provides person-centered support to up to four residents, helping them build independence, participate in community life, and maintain quality of life. Duties include individualized daily care, training, activities, documentation, and following behavioral support plans.

• Provide coaching, training, advocacy, prompts, and hands-on support
• assist with daily living and personal hygiene
• implement training programs and behavioral support plans
• encourage independence and community engagement
• prepare light meals
• participate in outings and activities
• document objectives and progress
• complete required training and certifications.

Why this role

Second-shift hours vary on weekdays from 3:45 p.m. to 11:45 p.m., with every other weekend from 7:45 a.m. to 7:45 p.m.; 40 hours per week. Training includes preparation for driving center vehicles, using wheelchair lifts, and obtaining Basic Life Support and MedTech certifications.
