IT Infrastructure Manager — Onsite, Tyler, TX

The IT Infrastructure Manager role is onsite five days per week in Tyler, TX. Compensation is not specified. Smartbridge is recruiting on behalf of a confidential manufacturing client; the role supports that client’s infrastructure across multiple locations. The manager combines infrastructure strategy with hands-on operations, overseeing servers, networking, identity and access, backup and disaster recovery, database platform support, and endpoint security. The role also leads a small helpdesk and infrastructure team and establishes consistent operational standards, documentation, and risk reporting.

What you'll do

• Manage on-premises servers and virtualization
• oversee multi-site Cisco networking and documentation
• own Active Directory, internal PKI, and SSO integration with Microsoft Entra ID
• define backup strategy and validate recovery targets
• work with DevOps on database resilience and recovery
• manage endpoint detection and response coverage and triage
• establish change management, incident response, postmortem, and root-cause practices
• lead 3–5 helpdesk or infrastructure staff
• manage vendors and service providers
• oversee the infrastructure budget
• and report status and risk to leadership.
