Accounting Specialist

The Accounting Specialist role is onsite in San Antonio, TX. Compensation is $20–$22 per hour. The position supports Mytech’s accounting team by maintaining accurate financial records and timely vendor payments and customer collections. The specialist manages accounts payable and receivable transactions, resolves billing issues, supports month-end close and reconciliations, and helps maintain documentation and internal controls. The role also contributes to process improvements and other accounting projects.

What you'll do

• Process and code vendor invoices and supporting documentation
• prepare weekly or biweekly payment runs
• reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies
• maintain AP records and monitor aging
• issue customer invoices, apply payments, monitor receivables, and follow up on outstanding balances
• assist with collections
• support month-end close, accruals, and reconciliations
• maintain accounting-system records and documentation
• identify process improvements.
