The Machinist – Day Shift is an onsite, full-time direct-hire role in Alexandria, MN. Pay is $22–$28 per hour depending on experience. The position supports a precision component machining and machine-building operation at a plant serving customers worldwide. The machinist runs machines in a production cell with little or no assistance, inspecting work and meeting quality, productivity, and safety standards. The role supports reliable production through setup optimization, maintenance, teamwork, and continuous improvement.

What you'll do

• Set up and operate machines in a production cell
• load, run, remove, and inspect parts
• inspect work to prints
• optimize setups and tooling
• perform preventive and corrective maintenance as requested
• help train cell personnel when asked
• follow quality, safety, and 5S practices
• identify continuous improvement opportunities.
