The Venue Event Captain role is onsite in Indianapolis, IN, with shift opportunities at three venues in the greater Indianapolis market. Pay is $20 per hour. The role supports event operations for 828 Venue Management Company and focuses on guest experience and venue readiness. As the primary venue representative during assigned event shifts, the captain coordinates venue operations, beverage service, bartenders, vendors, and facility readiness. The role helps events run smoothly by addressing issues in real time, maintaining operational standards, and supporting the Event Operations Lead.

What you'll do

• Represent the venue during assigned event shifts
• provide hospitality to clients, guests, vendors, and event partners
• identify and resolve issues
• support event execution according to company standards and client expectations
• open or close the venue
• maintain cleanliness, organization, safety, and readiness
• complete checklists and report maintenance concerns
• support venue services, décor installations, and rental setups
• conduct property walkthroughs
• document event details and incidents
• ensure vendors follow venue policies
• support inventory accountability and equipment handling.
