The Medical Assistant (MA) – Women's Health role is onsite in Springfield, MO; compensation is not specified. Working under a physician's direction, the Medical Assistant supports administrative and clinical care so physicians can examine and treat patients and the clinic can maintain accurate records and a safe, prepared treatment environment.

What you'll do

• Record patient histories, vital signs, and test information
• prepare and clean examination rooms
• interview patients and measure vital signs, weight, and height
• authorize drug refills and provide prescription information to pharmacies
• clean and sterilize instruments
• prepare and administer medications as directed
• prepare patients for physician examinations
• explain treatment procedures and instructions
• assist physicians with examinations and treatment, including injections or suture removal
• collect, log, and prepare specimens for testing.

Why this role
