Mental Health Counselor

Job overview

The Mental Health Counselor role is hybrid in Springfield, VA, with in-office days and remote work. Compensation is $40–$45 per completed clinical session; approved administrative time pays $25 per hour. Soar Therapy and Integrated Wellness is an outpatient mental health and wellness practice serving adolescents ages 13 and older and adults throughout Northern Virginia. The clinician provides psychotherapy and assessment, develops individualized treatment plans, monitors progress, and uses supervision and training to strengthen clinical practice. The role contributes to evidence-based, culturally responsive, whole-person care and may include participation in groups, workshops, community outreach, or program development.

What you'll do

• Provide individual psychotherapy to adolescents ages 13 and older and adults
• conduct clinical intakes and assess client needs
• develop individualized treatment plans
• use evidence-based and integrative interventions
• monitor progress and make clinically appropriate treatment decisions
• maintain timely documentation and communication
• participate in supervision, consultation, training, and required team meetings. Participation in groups, workshops, community outreach, or program development is an opportunity.
