Job overview

The Cook role is full-time and onsite in Buchanan, GA, with pay of $14–$15 per hour. The cook reports to the Dietary Services Supervisor at Countryside Post Acute. The cook prepares and serves meals according to menus, standardized recipes, and diet specifications. The role supports residents’ dietary needs by maintaining safe and sanitary food preparation, timely meal service, portion control, and communication with facility staff.

What you'll do

• Review menus
• prepare and cook food according to menu directions and standardized recipes
• prepare food safely, efficiently, and sanitarily
• serve meals according to diet specifications and portion-control procedures
• manage tray-line production and meal timing
• store and label leftovers
• respond to residents’ requests for alternate items
• provide dietary items to nursing as needed
• follow resident-rights, confidentiality, regulatory, and safety procedures
• participate in quality assurance activities.
