The Graduate Design Engineer, Transportation – Highway Design role is hybrid in Duluth, MN, with in-office work Tuesday through Thursday and work-from-home Monday and Friday. The listed salary range is $74,700–$90,300 per year. TKDA’s Highway team develops transportation infrastructure solutions intended to improve public safety and mobility. The role supports the design and delivery of highway and related transportation infrastructure projects. Working with engineers, designers, and technicians, the engineer assists with preliminary and final design materials to help produce safe, efficient, sustainable, and cost-conscious projects for public agencies and design-build contractors.

What you'll do

• Assist with highway design, geometric layouts, roundabouts, alignments, profiles, cross sections, and related infrastructure projects.
• Contribute to preliminary and final plans, specifications, and cost estimates.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team and use MicroStation, OpenRoads Designer, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office Suite to support design and project needs.
