The Pre-Operative and Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) Registered Nurse role is onsite in Hollywood, FL, with compensation of $45 per hour. The nurse reports to the Director of Nursing for the assigned Pre-Op/PACU unit at an outpatient ambulatory surgery center.
What you'll do
- Assess patients in pre-op, the operating room, and PACU
- interpret monitor information
- apply discharge criteria
- develop individualized perianesthesia care plans
- transfer care and provide hand-off reports
- administer and document prescribed medications and treatments
- collaborate with other disciplines
- and participate in quality improvement, safety huddles, and team training. The posting requires Florida licensure, BLS, ACLS, PALS, and perioperative experience, including orthopedic and spine experience.
