The Registered Nurse (RN), Pediatrics role is an onsite, full-time position in Spruce Pine, NC, with compensation of $27–$33 per hour. Mountain Community Health Partnership’s pediatric healthcare team works with children and families to provide patient-centered care in a community health setting. The nurse supports pediatric providers by gathering clinical information, assisting with visits, administering ordered vaccines and medications, educating families, and coordinating follow-up and referrals. This work helps the team deliver preventive, coordinated care and connect families with healthcare and community resources.

What you'll do

• Obtain and document patient histories, medications, allergies, immunization records, developmental screenings, and vital signs
• assist with well-child and sick visits, behavioral health screenings, and chronic disease management
• administer vaccines and medications per orders and protocols
• educate parents and caregivers
• respond to calls, portal messages, and clinical inquiries
• collaborate with providers and community resources
• coordinate referrals, testing, specialty appointments, and follow-up
• participate in quality improvement, provider huddles, and patient pre-planning.
