What you'll do

• Splice and maintain new and existing fiber
• prepare and splice single-mode and multi-mode cables, including ribbon and loose-tube fiber
• repair cables using single and mass fusion equipment
• terminate and test fiber using OTDR, OLTS, power meters, and VFL
• install splice hardware
• perform mid-sheath entries and active-network splicing
• respond to outages
• document project progress and test results
• maintain equipment, trailers, and vehicles
• and follow applicable safety standards. The posting says the role may eventually require rotational on-call coverage, including nights and weekends.
