What you'll do

• Perform resident skin assessments, obtain treatment orders, administer ordered treatments, and document findings
• contact physicians with recommendations
• monitor wound healing and recommend changes
• maintain pressure-ulcer and skin-alteration records and measurements
• monitor preventive interventions
• educate nursing staff on skin practices
• coordinate wound-care supplies
• assist with case reviews
• track regulatory and industry practices
• prepare reports and recommendations for the Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement Committee.
