The YReads! Program Tutor role is onsite at Pinellas County Schools in Saint Petersburg, FL. Pay is $15.00 per hour. The YMCA of Greater St. Petersburg’s YReads! program provides literacy instruction and mentoring for kindergarten through fifth-grade students. The tutor teaches basic reading skills using coordinator-developed lessons and supports student supervision and program procedures. The role contributes to literacy intervention by helping students build foundational reading skills and supporting the program coordinator in meeting program goals.

What you'll do

• Teach basic reading skills using program lessons and curricula
• assist with student supervision and order
• support students to and from the restroom
• help pick up and drop off students around the school
• follow student pickup procedures
• maintain testing and sign-in/sign-out records
• attend abuse risk management training and follow mandated reporting requirements.
