What you'll do

• Perform and report moderate- and high-complexity testing using automated and manual methods
• resolve discrepant or unexpected results
• review quality-control and Levey-Jennings data and initiate corrective action
• verify reagent lots and validate methods as assigned
• participate in instrument correlation, calibration verification, and preventive maintenance
• enter and release results and report critical values
• perform proficiency testing
• train and orient staff and assess competency when delegated and qualified
• contribute to standard operating procedures
• follow safety, infection-control, and specimen-handling procedures.
