Director of Engineering, Hotel Maintenance

The Director of Engineering role is onsite in Mesa, AZ. Compensation is not specified. This position supports Sheraton Hotel’s Maintenance/Engineering department and helps maintain a safe, operational environment for guests and staff. The role oversees the hotel’s physical plant, engineering assets, grounds, technical team, maintenance programs, budgets, and capital projects. Through preventive maintenance, system repairs, compliance oversight, and emergency preparedness, the director helps sustain the hotel’s facilities and guest environment.

What you'll do

• Oversee preventive maintenance for guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces
• manage HVAC, electrical, plumbing, mechanical, refrigeration, and life-safety systems
• oversee vendors and capital projects
• hire, train, schedule, and evaluate maintenance staff
• manage work orders, operating budgets, inventory costs, utility use, and sustainability initiatives
• maintain building-code, OSHA, ADA, and fire-safety compliance
• lead emergency response planning.

Why this role
