CNC Programmer – Second Shift

Job overview

The CNC Programmer – Second Shift role is onsite in East Syracuse, NY. Pay is $35–$40 per hour based on experience, plus a 10% shift premium; training is on first shift. The role supports precision machining of prototype and low-volume parts, primarily aluminum castings and some aluminum billet.

What you'll do

• Create medium- to high-complexity CNC programs using 3-axis or higher CAM software
• simulate programs to prevent collisions and reduce machining time
• select tooling, gauges, speeds, feeds, and operation sequences from engineering drawings
• support setups, prove-outs, and first-piece approval
• troubleshoot programs
• prepare setup instructions and tooling lists
• partner with Quality on inspection
• and maintain records and follow ISO and shop safety procedures.
