The fellow coordinates community engagement, training, materials development and project reporting to help families and Family Resource Center staff navigate barriers to health coverage and care. The role also contributes to policy advocacy and coordination across HLA’s Access to Care and Coverage and Mental Health Advocacy Program for Kids teams.
What you'll do
- Build relationships with Family Resource Center staff and identify health care access barriers
- coordinate with Mental Health Advocacy Program for Kids staff
- develop and deliver trainings, presentations and workshops
- create accessible resources about public health coverage changes
- support in-person and virtual clinics
- collect and report project data
- prepare client referrals
- help identify patterns and develop policy proposals
- attend coalition meetings with state agencies
- support team administration and coordination.
