The Technician Apprentice role is onsite in Albany, GA, with starting pay of $18–$23 per hour and scheduled increases at six and 12 months. The full-time apprenticeship offers classroom and hands-on training to prepare apprentices for heavy equipment diesel technician work. Yancey Bros. Co. is Georgia’s authorized Caterpillar equipment dealer. The apprentice develops the mechanical and technical skills needed to service heavy equipment through instructor-led learning, supervised hands-on tasks, and mentorship. The program prepares participants for advancement through Yancey’s career development program after completion.

What you'll do

• Complete instructor-led classroom and hands-on training
• follow class materials and procedures under instructor supervision
• participate in structured task and accomplishment check-ins
• in the ride-along program, train with a field service technician and in a shop environment
• attend facilitated classes covering engines, hydraulics, electrical systems, preventive maintenance, and air-conditioning certification.
