Project Manager, Research & Validation Studies

The Project Manager, Research & Validation Studies role is hybrid, with 1–2 days per week in the Carlsbad, CA office. Compensation is $38–$42 per hour. The role supports Sleep.ai’s research team, which evaluates sleep products, technologies, and interventions through scientific research and real-world validation. This position manages a portfolio of 10 or more concurrent studies from proposal and contracting through completion and close-out. It coordinates sponsors, internal science teams, study timelines, budgets, deliverables, and IRB submissions to keep research on track while protecting study quality and scientific integrity.

What you'll do

• Manage 10+ concurrent research and validation studies from proposal and contracting through completion and close-out
• coordinate proposals, timelines, budgets, cost estimates, service agreements, and Statements of Work with Business Development and Scientific Research
• serve as the day-to-day contact for sponsors and partners
• prepare and coordinate IRB submissions
• maintain project plans, Gantt charts, budgets, and deliverable trackers
• coordinate science-team workflows
• track deliverables and escalate risks
• identify process improvements
• raise concerns when business requests conflict with sound research practices
• support close-out, reporting, publications, or abstracts as opportunities and team capacity allow.
