What you'll do

• Assist the Executive Chef with kitchen functions, including menu development, food purchasing, preparation, and quality standards
• plan, direct, and participate in food preparation
• monitor food quality and holding temperatures
• check deliveries and assist with inventory
• instruct and supervise kitchen staff
• help plan and price menu items, portion sizes, and recipe cards
• maintain sanitation and cleaning schedules
• schedule personnel to meet business needs and labor objectives
• inspect supplies, equipment, and work areas
• assist with food operations planning, budgeting, and purchasing
• train kitchen employees
• maintain equipment
• may meet guests about special-event menus
• may assist with paperwork and course-event setup or takedown.
