The Mechanical Technician 3 role is onsite in Redondo Beach, CA, with pay of $70–$75 per hour. The stated schedule is four 10-hour days, Monday through Thursday. The role supports the Structural Test Department in testing flight and development hardware. The technician assembles, operates, and maintains hydraulic systems and structural test equipment, then records test data and results. This work enables the department to execute load and pressure tests safely and according to procedures, while maintaining the equipment and test setups needed for complex hardware.

What you'll do

• Assemble, plumb, and operate hydraulic power units and related systems
• install and maintain hydraulic cylinders and actuators
• set up structural test equipment and fixtures
• instrument test articles and troubleshoot basic wiring
• run closed-loop force or displacement tests
• monitor and record test parameters
• perform proof, hydrostatic, and pressure/decay tests
• conduct leak checks and mechanical repairs
• operate lift equipment
• document test setups and results
• follow safety controls including PPE and LOTO.
