The Registered Behavior Technician role is onsite in Saint Louis, MO, at the KVC Missouri Children’s Mental Wellness Campus in Webster Groves. Starting pay is $22.24 per hour, with stated shift differentials for evening, overnight, and Friday–Sunday schedules. The role supports a youth mental health and wellness campus developed through a partnership between St. Louis Children’s and KVC Health Systems. Under clinician supervision and in alignment with each patient’s treatment plan, the technician implements behavioral interventions, supports skill development, and collects objective data. The role monitors patient responses, communicates progress and safety concerns to the Treatment Team, and helps maintain a safe, nurturing environment for youth.

What you'll do

• Provide respectful, inclusive care
• support youth according to individualized treatment plans
• implement assigned behavioral interventions under clinical supervision
• observe behavior and document services and interventions
• use trained skill-building, prompting, reinforcement, replacement-behavior, and behavior-reduction strategies
• communicate progress, trends, barriers, and concerns
• follow protocols and report safety concerns
• participate in supervision and competency reviews
• maintain a safe and positive environment
• maintain active RBT certification and complete required training.

Why this role

The posting states that RBTs do not independently diagnose, assess, or create or modify treatment plans or behavioral protocols. Shift differentials are $1 per hour for 3:00–11:00 p.m., $1.50 per hour for 11:00 p.m.–7:00 a.m., and $2 per hour for the Friday 7:00 p.m.–Monday 7:00 a.m. schedule.
