Senior Submarine Combat Systems Technician

The Senior Submarine Combat Systems Technician role is onsite in Groton, CT; compensation is not specified. The technician supports AN/BYG-1 submarine combat systems and related engineering work for VMR Strategic Solutions. The role exists to evaluate, install, maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and test these systems in accordance with applicable Navy maintenance procedures, engineering specifications, and cyber system instructions. It also contributes technical expertise and documentation to systems engineering and maintenance activities.

What you'll do

• Evaluate and perform corrective actions for AN/BYG-1 systems
• assist with disassembly, reassembly, installation, testing, validation, and verification
• support Engineering Change Instructions
• develop technical data, manuals, troubleshooting and operating procedures, drawing updates, and maintainability improvements
• provide subject matter expertise and direct onsite customer interface for installation, testing, surveys, fabrication, and other engineering tasks. Travel up to 10% is required.
