The Community Recreation Center Attendant role is onsite in Selma, AL. Compensation is not specified. The Community Recreation Center supports the Edmundite Missions’ work to provide a safe, welcoming place for the community to exercise, learn, gather, and play. The attendant helps keep the Center safe, clean, and welcoming while supporting visitor access and scheduled activities. By monitoring the facility, responding to concerns and emergencies, and caring for spaces and equipment, the role helps the Center serve visitors with dignity and respect.

What you'll do

• Welcome visitors, check them in, answer questions, and explain Center rules, hours, and programs. Monitor the weight room, computer room, community room, and basketball court
• enforce rules
• manage crowds and court time
• and calmly de-escalate conflicts. Respond to injuries and emergencies, complete incident reports, and open and close the facility. Implement scheduled activities or oversee activities led by volunteers, partners, or staff. Clean and sanitize areas and equipment, set up and break down rooms, report maintenance needs, and maintain attendance logs, shift notes, and supply records.
